I think it's just a case of reasoning out with her that what happens to clothes inside a washing machine is far worse than the result of simply wearing them in the bath or shower. If you avoid materials that aren't machine washable and don't try and make her wear shoes (you may not want her to do the latter anyway), then she might warm to it over time.

Here's another idea - if you were feeling confident you could say "If anything you have is spoiled by wearing it in the shower or bath, I'll buy you *two* replacements"! Putting your money where your mouth is on this issue might just do the trick, as long as you're confident she won't exploit your generous offer!!

Great, so I told my girlfriend all about my wetlook fetish and she wasn't weirded out or anything but there's two problems.

1) We both live (in seperate houses) with other people and finding a quiet time to shower or bath together is bloody difficult.

2) She seems worried that the water will damage her clothes or something because she doesn't want to wear newer stuff in the shower. The clothes are machine washable but she doesn't except that it makes no difference whether you wash them while wearing them.

Stupid thing is we've already done this once, she even let me take some photo's (B&W, very arty actually in my non-pro opinion) which have still to be developed.

Not really expecting solutions from you guys and gals, just venting my spleen but if you have any suggestions, then please. Sigh!
