Wetlook-Online
I have to say I agree with a lot of the messages posted here, especially that the "innocence" of wetlook and that we not be linked to hard - core, women - degrading porn. The degradation of women in the porn world makes it harder for all of us. For crying out loud, we don't want to humiliate women, we just want a pretty girl to go in the shower with us fully clothed. As soon as they hear the word "Fetish", society panics.

However, I have always resented the subtle sexual hierarchies of organized religion, and I have always been suspicious that religious leaders organize clothed baptisms (along with countless other penitive rituals) to get teenage girls wet with their clothes on... If you have a free mind like I do, you will see religious men in the thousands using their power to get women to be penitive, submissive, and supplicating to them, which, I believe, is why the son of a b**** became a priest in the first place.

I would hope that organized, clothed baptism is not originated for the priests and religious leaders to get off physically from it. But here is the connection; wetlook is all about power - the power to remove a woman's perceivable social, financial, religious, or professional status from clothing by soaking her. In Christianity, this would be perceived as humility to God. I remember talking to a girl, in my teens, who was baptized at a "Creation" festival, fully clothed, and she believed that she was being humble to God by doing so...

But I think the teenage boy baptizing her was enjoying the power that he had over her, by removing her social status by soaking her. Let's hope God is enjoying all this crap.

Maybe we're all wolves, guys!!! Or maybe we should quit thinking so da** much about this and see what "Southern Charms" has to offer this week...

I think it just means a little more work for the forum-admin: he should control the forum about posts with that topic and delete those if found any.

Its a pity, admin - but that's how the comunity is: Most of the users agree with those who pledge against baptism pics - but there surely are enough others who don't and will go on posting such pics and links.

I probably shouldn't begin my post with an off topic side note, but I do happen to agree about the loss of secularization in the United States.  Our country's founding fathers may have said, "In God we trust," but they had the foresight to recognize that not every American trusted in the same god, or trusted in any god period, which is why they separated church and state.  I find it reprehensible that religeous doctrine creeps ever closer to being imposed on the entire country by shoving legislated religeous dogma down the troats of the rest of us.

However, with that said, a baptism is something these people hold sacred and therefore should earn my respect and reverence, whether I agree with them or not (a stance I would very much like the relieous right to reciprocate).  Therefore, I do not believe that baptism photos have a place in this or any wetlook forum.  The fact that they're candid photos is another issue entirely.  Someone jumping into the pool with their clothes on at a party at their friend's house is not a sacred event.  Baptism is & thus (I believe) should be left off this forum.

I hate to be the one to throw water on the threads above, however I believe folks are drawing a rather self serving, hypocritical line here.  If you find viewing baptism pictures wrong or immoral or whatever than don't look at any wetlook photos except those produced exclusively for wetlook, i.e. Styx, Wet Fashion Fun, Wetlook Unlimited etc.  No more webshots, Songkran, pool party etc. photos for you folks.  Baptism is a sacred rite to those involved in it, beleive it or not most of the world is not Christian.  One could make the case wether you believe in Christianity or not, out of respect you should refrain from looking, but that only reinforces my earlier statement that it is immoral to view any wetlook photos except those involving the consent of the wetees.  Sorry to bring this up and perhaps I am over reacting but I am about fed up with the neo-conservative religous fervor that appears to be taking over the U.S.  My 2 Euro cents on the subject anyway.

I would just like to express my complete endorsement for the words of John. Wetlook is a sexual fetish, and one that I totally endorse. Baptism is a religious ceremony. I am religious myself, so I have some notion of how the Christians involved in Baptism must view their ceremony. Irrespective of religious beliefs, mixing these two up is disrespecful, all the more so if it without the approval of the subjects of the images.

As an aside, I remember when I first heard about Baptism - I was about 12 at the time. It completely turned me on, but I knew it was wrong back then, and it would be years before I would even hear the phrase "wetlook"

Likewise, I also have a problem with Baptismal Wetlook.  I know a lot of people who have been baptised by full immersion, if they found their pictures here, their reaction does not bear thinking about.

If this forum should come the attention of the mainstream media, the last thing we would want them to do is to start saying that the wetlook community behaves in a predatory manner by linking to pictures of people taking part in a religious activity.  I have always regarded wetlook as something with an innocence that cannot be easily found elsewhere in the “adult” world.  It would be awful if that were lost.

There are gigabytes of wetlook pictures available in the Web that do not involve baptism, so there is no need to go down the baptismal wetlook route.

I agree. There are enough wetlook photos out there without us infringing on rites which are sacred to many.

And at least with the Catholics, most of the people being baptised are infants. Talk about underage photos ;-)

But this brings up a point that I want to share my opinion on. I emjoy wetlook photos as much as anyone who visits this forum, but I have a problem with the posting of baptism photos. Baptism is a sacred religous ceremony. Wetlook is a sexual fetish. I just don't think it's right to put the two together. To get some sexual charge from people expressing their religous faith just bothers me. If the people getting baptised in the photos knew people were looking at them and getting aroused, I think they'd be upset, to say the least. I know there are many here who will probably disagree with me, but I just wanted to express one man's opinion.

I hate to tell you this but Catholics and Anglicans both do not perform baptism like well the Baptists.  Just a bit of water on the head.  Sorry
