There are numerous cases like this of publicity stills for scenes that never made it to the final movie. It still occurs to this day....e.g. in the 1996 movie CHASERS with Erika Eliniak...they shot a scene where Erika slides down a waterslide in her dress at a waterpark....but that scene does not exist in any tv or video version of the film. I know the scene was shot, cos I have the footage from Entertainment Tonite where they interviewed Erika and show her sliding down the waterslide in her dress....so I was looking forward to seeing the film when it came out...and when it did..that scene was cut from the film.
There are several interesting pics on JJ's site that are production stills that show scenes that do not exist on the final cuts of the film.

Same way with one from 1943 called "Happy Go Lucky" with Dick Powell and Mary Martin. An old Life magazine has a nice pic of Mary soaking in an evening gown in a shower scene from the film. But in the only version I've ever seen, which was on commercial TV (one of those early morning old movie broadcasts), the shower scene was about 2 seconds long and you saw almost nothing. So there again - was it cut to make room for commercials, or was the shower scene just shortened during the film editing? Since it never seems to be on any of the classic movie channels, it'll likely remain an eternal mystery.

The Tina Louise pic is interesting, cos I have seen that before and others in the past...that purport to be from her film GOD'S LITTE ACRE but when I watched that film I could find no such wet scenes in the film. So..this is one of those mystery pics...i.e. was this just a publicity still taken during filming...or from a deleted scene from the film. This is one of those mystery items that needs more research and tracking down.
