We have both, and never use the bath tub with jets. It gets cold in about 10-15 mintues, plus it is not as roomy. As far as clorine goes, if you get an ozonater (sp) with you hot tub you will use less chlorine. After a day or so the chlorine in the water is less than the water coming from my faucets, putting it on the lawn is fine. |

By RoscoeBC - Sun 15/08/04 01:02:08 GMT A question for those of you with practical experience in this matter. If I was going to install either a regular hot tub (re-using the chlorinated water) or a bath tub with jets (fresh water, no clorine) for wetlook and theraputic reasons, which is better? Do clothes in the hot tub usually lose a lot of dye? Do you have to change the water anyway to get rid of the dye or will the filter take it out? When you drain a hot tub, what do you do with all that chlorinated water? I'd be a little afraid to dump chlorine in my septic system, would it hurt the lawn to just dump it on the grass?
Thanks in advance.
