I think that fetishes come slightly from the availability of naked porn, there is so much of it about, lots of people have become desensitized to it, so the brain is confused into thinking there is nothing special about it!  The brain then adapts and comes up with a more obscure arousal switch!

Think about it, if the sight of girls fully clothed or not turned us on, we would constantly be walking around with a hard on, the body must come up with some sort of control for our arousals, something to switch it on and off!  In the olden days, the sight of a picture of naked woman would send most men into a hot sweat!  That was the main switch for turning on the bodies reproductive systems!  Nowadays, the sight is so common that the switch in some of us has had to adapt to regulate the whole system!  So our adaption is wetclothes, that is what our brains have decided to do to compensate for the huge amount of nude material available!

I am someone who has been into wetlook from the earliest days of my memory, however, I think i can trace the trigger being the fact that my first words were tits.  My grandparents always made my father feel that sex was dirty and something to be disgusted with, so my dad tried to do the opposite with me, however it sort of backfired!  My dads pointing out of boobs on page three of the sun every morning when I was learning to talk trained my brain that the sight of boobs was nothing special, so my brain goes off and picks something else that is!  Tiswas, that must have been it, it was the saturday morning show of the early seventies, I must have watched it and my brain seeking a new system control decided to pick the sight of wet clothes!

I get the feeling that now with more and more nudity in society, that more people will become fetishists!

So beware, if you get your wish, you will go off wetlook very quickly, it is possible that you will get your wish in the future as society addapts to sun cancer and ozone problems!

But I don't know if everyone has a perversion. I'd say it depends a lot on how much experimentation a person has permitted themselves. So maybe some people who say they don't have one really just haven't developed one yet. Unfortunately, I think the door is closed on wetlook for my g/f, since she sees my fetish as purely masturbation, the whole of which she can't accept!

But I wouldn't say that the US is inherently better or worse than Europe. I'd say most of the Webshots of clothed people in pools are in the US. America has more clean, natural water and more home swimming pools. So, lots of kids experience swimming in clothes, just by going to parties at a friend's house. I also sucessfully got pulled in at public and YMCA pools. Europeans, meanwhile, have more fountains, and foam/beach/pool parties; but don't you dare get close to a public pool during normal opening hours with anything more than Speedo-style swimwear! [Yuck! :)]

So, what has worked for me, though rather depressing, has been sitting on docks and pool edges, clothed, hoping for someone gregarious enough to say hi and invite or push/pull me in. It has happened a few times, more often when the girls themselves are wearing more than swimwear.

What I hate is what I heard on a program about the history of the swimsuit. An older woman recalls her youth, in the 1920's, when the suit was shrinking most rapidly. She said no one WANTED to bare so much, they were JUST KEEPING UP with EVERYONE ELSE!

It's women's fault in the first place! And now they won't go back!
