I think the beach shots were taken at Hayama, or one of the little beaches near there on the west side of the Miura peninsula (east side of Sagami Wan). I suspect the camellia pics were shot at the Emperor's summer palace gardens (Hayama). I noticed Otohime Label has been using those beaches too. One of the recent updates clearly shows the lone tree on a piece of rock jutting into the water at Akia beach (between Hayama and Hayashi). I lived in Akia for a time in the early 80s and I could see that tree from the second deck of my house. Anyway, the Miura peninsula beachs are not volcanic sand. They are yellow sand beaches from Enoshima (Sagami Wan) all the way areound to the Tokyo Wan side and up to Uraga and Mabori Beach. K. |

By Sopping - Tue 03/12/02 04:16:55 GMT Moonface has a cute sequence in which she is playing in the shallow water at the beach in a yellow sundress. http://www.themoonface.com/picture/nami/index.html
This is the kind of wetlook I like best (Julie is good at this too), namely having fun, and getting attractively soaked in the process.
The first few pictures are "establishing shots," at, I would guess Izu-Oshima, which is known for its camelias in the early summer. But I remember the beaches as being black volcanic sand, so who knows?
Anyhow, cute pix, of which we badly need more here. S:
