Here's the funny thing, the top of the forum is much smaller since the rules were moved to a seperate page, the banners are small and take up little space.

So all in all, you have to make the effort to scroll slightly less to get to the maessages.

Some people complain just for the sake of complaining.

First sentence of the forum header:

I think this also includes people giving critical feedback. Nobody has said Nigel must do anything about the banners. It was only an opinion. Please don't react too harsh on people saying somthing critical. Thank you.

Please remember...Nigel has been bearing all the bandwidth costs each month (which are considerable) for the last few years...all to keep this forum FREE for folks who like to see lots of great stuff. Without Nigel and his bearing the costs for the bandwidth...folks would have to share in those costs too...i.e. it could not be a free forum...it would have to be a members only forum where you have to pay dues to enter here.

Also..Wetmaniac the original poster says "our forum"...it has never been your forum. This is Nigels forum and you are here as his guest.

As Brian says...the producers are merely doing what we can to support Nigel and to promote the forum, and all the producers you see mentioned are supporting Nigel and also proving free sample media postings to the community too.

Do you see banners and advertising on UMD...yes you do. Do you see banners when you use other forums like Yahoo Forums or Delphi Forums...yes. If you would like a banner free forum, would you be prepared to register for a paysite forum instead.

All websites have to be supported in some way, and if you get the site or software for free, then those costs are supported by the sponsors or supportter. If you want banner free or ad free software...you have to pay for it.

There are no popups or any things that most people consider to be intrusive. The large banner merely reminds you who brings this forum to you for free...i.e. Nigel... and the mini banners are some of the major posters and or supporters who are trying to help Nigel to make this forum an interesting place to visit.

Wetmaniac...next time you watch a James Bond movie....see if you can count how many "product placement" ads there are in the film. You will be amazed...at least 200 or more different products are promoted in every James Bond film...everything from Rolex watches, to automobiles and cell phones....and thats how they raise the financing it takes to make the movie......but you can still enjoy the movie...cos those ad placements are not intrusive.

Amen. As far as I'm concerned, Nigel can do whatever he likes, I'm not complaining. This forum is a privelege, not a right.

This is a way for the wet producers to show their public support for Nigel and this forum.

And yes, it is a way for us to remind those of you who are prepared to pay to see wet girls of the sites where you can.

And if it generates a little revenue for Nigel towards the horrendous costs of keeping the forum going, then those of you who always want everything for nothing are being pretty mean about it if you won't even let him try to recoup some of the costs.

And at the bottom? Of a forum as long as this one? Do you REALLY think anyone would want to advertise where they'll hardly ever be seen? Come on!

I also don't like these eye unfiendly banner mix but I'm good at ignoring such things. So I for myself thing it's not a big deal. But if asked for my oppinion I would recomend placing the banners at the bottom of the page liken in the UMD forums.

What are all these new multicoloured banners for? Does this forum need such a lot of advertising? Why is it suddenly called the "World" forum? Is this called marketing?

Can we have our old forum back please?! This has always been such a lovely place when it started nearly two years ago now. Cant it become the same again?
