Turning your computer off does not empty your history. Your browser keeps record of where you've been, and you can go back in history for as long as you tell it to keep track. I can go back almost two months and see where I've been. I also turn my computer off every night.
Some privacy programs WILL cover your tracks, however. Most will delete your history when you close your browser. Netscape and Mozilla have a setting in Preferences that let them do that without extra software doing it for you. |

By energy conserver - Thu 24/06/04 06:26:35 GMT Leaving your computer on 24 hours a day is a stupid waste of money and wear on your chips and power supply! So what if booting takes a minute or so. Why needly waste electricity to leave it on all the time when no one is using it? |
