There are three major failings in most dunktank shots.

One is the encased "security fence" around the dunkee.Worthy of a maximum-security facility in some instances. Leonmomin gives us (you should excuse the expression)"full frontal" shots of the gals. Most hide them behind the these barriers.

Two is the distressing tendency for dunkees to use swimsuits...'nuff said.

Three is the fact that at least 50% of the shots are posed on the dunk chair/platform/whatever with the subject bone dry.

When MK sets up his own dunk venues, he recognizes these failings and compensates for them.

Finally, there is the fact that shots of charity dunking events and such are often taken at long ranges, supports my belief that these are not fertile fields for good wetlook.

Thanks for your kind words MK :) My dial-up doesn't even run to 56k (it's around 40k) and I have hordes of Webshots links which I've just pasted into text files to go through when I get time. I can only set 3 or 4 downloading at a time or the images don't load due to some problem with Webshots so it is a chore but I am still grateful to the Webshots trawlers because I have got some great pictures from them.

FYI, here is a keyword you seem to be missing on your searches thru webshots...i.e. dunkings and dunk tanks. I cut and pasted this list from the DT forum.

The problem with Webshots is...too many pics posted each dau...and too many of them are not very interesting...but buried amongst all the webshots postings we get each day...there are 1 or 2 good ones at times. But this is like searching for a needle in a haystack (looking for gems in a quarry full of rocks).

I pity the poor folks on dial up who have to wade thru the webshots links each day trying to find something that is not the norm or is more interesting than the majority of webshots pics are.

It would be really helpful if webshots hunters and poster could help the forum folks out a bit...by grouping the links to pics according to different clothing types and interests. E.G. if all the pics are "casual dress" wetlook...then please say so...cos the formal attire folks would like to know..so they can save their time.

The southern charms posters are now doing this...i.e. letting folks know what the girl is wearing as a caption to their link postings...perhap Kerry Tiller can help us out too...cos even though all the data he provides about the Japanese stars is nice to know...thats not what we really want to know...the main question everybody wants to know is...what is the model wearing...especially when many of the Japanese idols site are appalling slow to load.

Anyway..I am just as guilty posting this list of unsorted links too...i.e. a lot of pabulum here too...but a few nice ones if you have the time to find them.
