One of the most used software for that is VirtualDub.

It is free and quite easy to use.

Do not forget to set it to Direct Stream Copy in Video & Audio menus if you do not want to recompress the video or audio tracks (e.g. only split or join).

Hello everyone. I am an avid wetlook fan and especially like wetlook in video format. I have used "mpg" tools in the past (like TMPGEnc-which is free, easy to use and fast) but have had little luck finding intuitive, easy to use tools for AVI's.

I would very much appreciate your advise on the best tool for splitting and joining AVI's. My main criteria are - intuitive interface(easy to use), performs well and reliable.
