The mpa file you are probably talking about is an MPEG2 encoded video. You can use a software DVD player like PowerDVD oder WinDVD to play the clip. Usually, if you have istalled souc a player, windows media player can also play such files.
BTW: DIVX codec will not help here. |

The file ends with an .mpa extension.
