I don't know about the rest of Europe, but it's very common here in Italy to see english slogans on t-shirts as well as on banners.

Also, recently there are several tv ads in original format, english language untraslated.

These are all German based places, right? Well, why are some things you see written in German, and some things in eglish? Like the name of the bar is in German, but ya see a slogan on a T-shirt may be in english? Im puzzled.
