I think it was their demo vid that was the problem.

It was a day after it was put up that the site was no more... so I guess that a lot of people were downloading it, and the rest is history.

I have emailed them a couple of times since the plug was pulled on their site, but haven't had a reply yet.

I really hope they don't give up....... I think their contributions are the best wetlook (IMO) ever.

They were using htaccess

I told them how to use htaccess, and they were using it - but Lycos still closed them. Think it was bandwidth too - they were doing too many updates and too large.

If they were allowing people to remote load then Lycos simply has to modify a file called ".htaccess" and then remote loading plain won't work, thats the only way to stop people remote loading unless you want to hack thier websites and delete the code that links to your images. Round of applause for Lycos please.

Their site got shut down (again) 'cos Lycos *thought* that they were allowing remote loading of pics when they weren't.
